The Launch Dinner

A selective evening to open the society, with researchers, traders and recruiters from our sponsors, one to one. Places are limited and allocated by the committee. The evening will begin with drinks from 18:00 to 20:30, followed by dinner for those selected from 20:30 to 23:00

About this event

The dinner is highly selective. We seat a small room on purpose, because the point of the evening is conversation and a small room is the only thing that produces it. Every signup is read, and places are offered on the strength of your CV and your degree.

Guests sit with researchers, traders and recruiters from our sponsors, and talk to them one to one. Not a careers fair and not a presentation: a table, a name badge you will not need, and the people who actually do the work answering the questions you actually have. For most attendees it is the first and the least formal conversation they will have with these firms.

We store what you submit here, including your CV, to choose and seat guests for this event, and we delete it within 30 days of the event. We do not pass it to sponsors. If you later join the society you can choose, from your member account, to add it to the CV book we send them: that is your decision to make and nothing happens without it.
